If you are returning to work and need to feel confident that your IT and digital skills are fully up to date, then this diploma will demonstrate exactly that to potential employers. 

With the option to choose an elective subject in marketing, it is also ideal for individuals wanting to pursue a career as a marketing assistant or admin assistant with responsibilities for helping keep your firm’s public profiles and brand presence up to date and to provide support to the marketing function.

On completion of your Digital Skills and IT Diploma, you will be able to take the BCS Entry Level Certificate In Digital Skills (ITQ) (Entry 3) (QCF) qualification, which will further enhance your opportunities.

 

The Digital Skills and IT Diploma consists of 6 Core Courses:

  • Digital Skills
  • Typing (choose from a selection)
  • Communication at Work
  • Microsoft Excel or Excel Expert
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Word or Word Expert

You then also choose two additional elective courses to suit your requirements.

Guideline learning time: – 220 hours of flexi study or 7 weeks full –time*

*Full-time is based on approx. 20-30 hours a week.

Our Digital Skills and IT Diploma is part of our distance learning range – which can be accessed online.

This means that you have the flexibility to study our Digital Skills and IT Diploma course:

  • In centre, with our friendly course advisors available for support and guidance as and when you need it.
  • At home or from work – with support via email or telephone during working hours.
  • On a blended mix – in-centre for the modules you need help with, at home or from work for those you are gliding through.

Once you’ve decided to go ahead, all you’ll need to do is contact your nearest Pitman Training centre that offers and supports the distance learning platform, and they will arrange for you to have an induction to show you around the system and talk you through how our online training works. After this, you can learn in your own time and at your own speed, but with the knowledge you have support at hand if required.
