If you’re looking for a career as a network or systems administrator, the MTA Server Administration Fundamentals from Pitman Training is the ideal choice.

This entry level training course is designed to help you gain a good solid understanding of what you’ll need to take the first step towards a career in the IT industry. You’ll learn how to build and manage Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows based network operating systems, Active Directory domains, users, groups and computers, together with how to perform regular maintenance.

On top of this, you’ll learn how to monitor systems and the invaluable skill of being able to recover lost data. To make learning more engaging, the course includes interactive videos and a pre and post test to identify any skill gaps in your knowledge.

Upon completion, you’ll be prepared to take the MTA 98-365 exam* and be one step closer to being fully certified. On completion of this course, you will receive a Pitman Training Course Completion certificate.

This course has been designed for those wishing to pursue a career in IT support, including administration of servers.

Prior to starting this course an understanding of computers and networks would be beneficial. The MTA Server Administration Fundamentals eLearning course includes a pre-test and post-test that accurately identifies your skill gap.

There are three sessions within this course which cover: 

Session 1:  Introduction, Installing Windows Server, Server Types, Windows Server Roles, File and Print Servers, Active Directory, Managing Active Directory.

Session 2: Internal Server Storage, External Server Storage, Understanding RAID, Configuring RAID, Server Virtualisation, Basic Server Administration.

Session 3: Server Maintenance, Processors and Memory, Performance Baselines, Troubleshooting Server Problems, Booting the Server, Using Event Viewer, Disaster Recovery.

This course will take around 9 hours to complete.

This course can be studied online. This means, you have the flexibility to study our MTA Server Administration Fundamentals course:
